Jonathan R. Miller, the editor of the Wong Fleming Employment Blog, is an associate at the firm. Mr. Miller’s practice focuses on employment and commercial litigation in state and federal courts. Prior to joining our firm, Mr. Miller served as a litigation associate at Drinker, Biddle & Reath, LLP, where he worked on diverse matters ranging from personal injury actions and employment law through high-stakes environmental litigation and co-authored winning appellate briefs in two recently decided cases: In re Permit No. 1512-03-0093.1 Issued to Toll Bros., Inc., 2007 WL 1365399 (N.J. App. Div. May 10, 2007); and State v. Horne, 2007 WL 28377 (N.J. App. Div. Jan. 5, 2007).

Mr. Miller received his J.D. from Cornell Law School in 2005. While in law school, he augmented his studies by working part-time at the Office of the University Counsel of Cornell University, serving as a teaching assistant for Professor Peter Martin and as a research assistant for Professor Theodore Eisenberg, prosecuting traffic and other violations in city court as a participant in a prosecution clinic, and serving as a judicial extern under the Hon. Peter Buckley (Chemung County, N.Y.). Mr. Miller was awarded several merit-based scholarships and received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award as a judicial extern.

Before choosing law as a second career, Mr. Miller worked as a social worker and counselor in a variety of settings. For several years, Mr. Miller supervised child protective services in the highly diverse and socio-economically challenged city of Ramla, Israel, an intense experience that afforded him numerous opportunities to argue child custody petitions in court.

Mr. Miller is licensed to practice in the States of New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania, as well as in the District of New Jersey. He is fluent in Hebrew.
