Princeton, New Jersey – May, 2010 – Wong Fleming, a woman- and minority-owned law firm with principal offices in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, will merge with the nation’s largest certified minority-owned law firm, Adorno & Yoss (A&Y).
The merger, operating locally as Adorno Yoss Wong Fleming, will add over 250 lawyers to Wong Fleming’s 15 attorneys and bolster core commercial litigation, intellectual property, employment and labor, and creditor’s rights and bankruptcy practices with expanded attorney presence from A&Y in California, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Texas, and Washington. Headquartered in Princeton, New Jersey, Wong Fleming has offices in Baltimore, Maryland, New York, New York and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
“Merging with Adorno & Yoss, a firm we have known and worked with over the years, helps us grow beyond our mid-Atlantic region presence and allows us to compete more effectively for work that is national in scope,” said Linda Wong, a senior partner and founder of Wong Fleming.
In addition to an increase in numbers, the merger is a win for both firms which will benefit from the diversity profiles of each. Both firms are active in the diversity space and look to work with companies that place a high priority on the diversity of its legal teams.
“Wong Fleming is an ideal match to join with Adorno & Yoss because the firm not only embodies the diversity that is essential to our growth strategy, but its primary practice areas are right in line with areas we want to strengthen and expand” offers A&Y chief operating officer George Yoss.
