Ian Clement, a senior associate at Wong Fleming, P.C. attended the National Bar Association’s 23rd Annual Corporate Counsel Conference that was recently held in Coronado Bay, CA on February 25, 26 and 27. The Conference was sponsored by the NBA’s Commercial Law Section.
The three-day conference, titled “Standing on Shoulders: Keeping the Promise” was designed for corporate legal departments devoted to recognizing and retaining African-American attorneys as outside counsel. The diversity initiative included networking opportunities throughout the conference during receptions, group breakfasts and lunches, and the spa events. Due to heavy rains, the golf tournament was cancelled, but conference attendees mixed, mingled and networked in San Diego’s Gas Lamp District.
