Associate Kat McKay will be presenting an online CLE webinar, Tuesday, June 23, 2020, from 10:00am to 11:00am EST, titled “The Legal Ethics of ‘Location, Location, Location.’” While seats are currently sold out, a recording of the session will be made available on our website following the live presentation. Future dates will be provided by Jenkins Law Library for additional opportunities to attend the CLE and earn credit. This course has been approved by the Pennsylvania Continuing Legal Education Board for 1.0 hour of CLE credit in ethics and by the Board of Continuing Legal Education of the Supreme Court of New Jersey for 1.0 hour of total CLE credit in ethics/professionalism.

“The Legal Ethics of ‘Location, Location, Location’” will discuss Pennsylvania and New Jersey rules with regard to performing consulting work as a non-admitted attorney-consultant across state lines (e.g., when various offices of the same firm provide overflow work to other offices). It also addresses rules related to starting a firm with a virtual office or a trade name. Finally, it covers the importance of research to the accurate and ethical practice of law.
