Description

This CLE focuses on the rights and obligations of employees and employers under new sexual harassment and anti-discrimination laws. A high level overview of relevant laws and definitions provided by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the American Bar Association, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967 (ADEA), the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA), and the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination will be highlighted to emphasize on how they apply to the current workplace and provide practical examples. Relevant case studies will be used to outline the evolution of sexual harassment and anti-discrimination laws at Federal and State levels.
