Partner Linda Wong will speak as a CLE panelist in the 2018 NAMWOLF Annual Meeting & Law Firm Expo session, “Emojis Speaking Louder Than Words? The Import of Emojis, Emoticons and Hashtags as Evidence.” This dialogue will focus on the new body of law relating to emojis, emoticons and hashtags and how their interpretation within texts and emails may be used as evidence in court. The growing popularity of this form of language in the United States will demand lawyers to seek awareness and be ready to argue an emoji or hashtag’s meaning to the benefit of their client. The session is scheduled for Thursday, September 27, 2018 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Chicago, Illinois.

The NAMWOLF Annual Meeting & Law Firm Expo is a three-day conference providing unique opportunities to connect corporate counsel from Fortune 1000 companies with minority and women-owned law firms. The 21 scheduled CLE Sessions will be held on a diverse range of topics, including Ethics, Labor & Employment, Cyber Security, Complex Litigation, Insurance, Intellectual Property, White Collar Investigations, Trials, Transactional and International Law.
