Wong Fleming Partners participated in Freddie Mac’s latest corporate-wide initiative to address how to engage and develop highly talented diverse vendors in their supply chain. The Diverse Vendor Development Program was launched by the Supplier Diversity Team on May 17-18, 2016. The program provided diverse vendors with opportunities to strengthen their businesses and business aptitude on Freddie Mac key lines of operations and to become sustainable partners Freddie Mac. Diverse vendors were invited to submit applications to be included in this intensive 5 month educational training program and Wong Fleming was chosen to participate.
Monthly sessions were led by Freddie Mac internal experts who shared their insights on topics and trends that are relevant and applicable to businesses of all sizes and classifications. Over the course of the program, participants engaged in four interactive group sessions that included panel discussions highlighting Freddie Mac products and services, and content specific topics that addressed the applicants identified learning gaps. There were also opportunities for networking and shared learning activities with Freddie Mac Procurement Professionals, Prime Contractor and other diverse vendors.
The series of educational sessions culminated with a graduation for vendors that successfully completed the program on September 29, 2016.
