Wong Fleming welcomes Beibei Que to the firm as an associate attorney. Ms. Que received her honors degree in Economics from Illinois Wesleyan University in 2004 and her juris doctorate from the University of Illinois College of Law in 2007.
Ms. Que was invited by faculty to participate in the University of Illinois Trial Team, during law school. Her team obtained fourth place in the Student Trial Advocacy Competition hosted by the American Association for Justice in Chicago. Ms. Que’s interest in litigation also led her to participate in the University of Illinois’s Intellectual Property Moot Court Competition, where she wrote and argued a full-length appellate brief. She also clerked for the City of Chicago and a Chicago law firm which concentrates its practice in employment litigation.
Ms. Que took the initiative to enhance diversity and culture at the University of Illinois. With funding from the Illinois Continued International Business Education and Research and the East Asian Language Center, she designed and taught two advanced Chinese courses to undergraduate and graduate students with special focus on business vocabulary, cultural awareness, and communication strategies to better prepare students for an ever globalizing business world. Following the success of this course, she received a teaching fellowship from the Academy for Entrepreneurial Leadership to develop an upper-level Intellectual Property seminar, a forum where students can openly discuss problems facing entrepreneurship in modern China.
Beibei Que’s admission to the Illinois Bar is pending. She speaks fluent Chinese Mandarin.
