Linda Wong Elected a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation

Wong Fleming is pleased to announce that Linda Wong, CEO and Partner, has been elected a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation (ABF) in recognition of her outstanding dedication to the highest principles of the legal profession and to the welfare of the community.

Ms. Wong was nominated by her peers and elected by the ABF Board of Directors. Membership in the Fellows is a special honor as it is limited to just one percent (1%) of lawyers licensed to practice in each jurisdiction. Founded in 1952 by the American Bar Association, the Fellows of the ABF is a global honorary society of attorneys, judges, law faculty, and legal scholars supporting the research program of the ABF.

Ms. Wong has achieved professional excellence in the legal community and has dedicated her career to help the advancement of women and minority attorneys. Under her leadership, Wong Fleming has grown from a law firm of three attorneys to one of the largest women and minority owned law firms in the country with cross border practices, establishing Wong Fleming as a global law firm. She has mentored and promoted excellence in the legal work at Wong Fleming and supported other diverse firms around the country on behalf of Fortune 500 clients. Ms. Wong, an AV-Preeminent rated attorney by Martindale Hubbell with over 42 years of legal experience, is a leading authority on employment law and civil litigation.

About the ABF Fellows

The ABF Fellows serve as stewards of the American Bar Foundation, an independent, nonprofit research organization which conducts short- and long-term socio-legal research projects. The ABF’s mission is to serve the legal profession, the public, and the academy through empirical research, publications, and programs that advance justice and the understanding of law. The ABF’s research falls under one of three categories: learning and practicing law; protecting rights and accessing justice; and making and implementing law. Linda Wong is the CEO and Managing Partner of Wong Fleming. She is Chair of the Firm’s Employment and Labor Law Practice Group and Chair of the Trial, Insurance Defense and Coverage Practice Group, and the Intellectual Property Practice Group. Linda Wong is a leading authority on employment law and civil litigation. She concentrates her practice on employment, commercial, insurance defense and intellectual property matters, involving terminations, harassment, contract disputes, insurance coverage, general liability defense, trademark and copyright actions and restrictive covenants. She has also handled litigation involving Title IX and other related matters involving discrimination and harassment in collegiate and high school athletics and constitutional claims involving public entities.

In 2005, Ms. Wong was the recipient of the Trailblazer Award from the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association. This award recognizes the outstanding achievements, commitment, and leadership of NAPABA lawyers who have paved the way for the advancement of other Asian Pacific American attorneys and made contributions that demonstrate vision, courage, and tenacity which have resulted in a substantial and lasting contribution to the Asian Pacific American legal community, as well as the Asian Pacific American community at large. She is a frequent presenter at national and local bar associations and is a trainer and consultant on employment law issues, including sexual harassment for major corporations and public institutions.

Ms. Wong received her juris doctorate in 1982 from Rutgers School of Law and her bachelor’s degree in 1976 from Rutgers University. She is admitted to practice in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. and has been recognized as a Super Lawyer in the area of Employment & Labor Law from 2005 through 2024.
